We invite you to enjoy the picturesque Cass Lake area in northern Minnesota with us at Sunset Cove Resort! Located in the Chippewa National Forest, we are fortunate to have the summer nesting grounds of the Bald Eagle and the Common Loon. The location of Sunset Cove Resort is so protected, one has the feeling of being on a small lake which is accessible to the main part of big beautiful Cass Lake. With 115 private acres and 2600 feet private lakeshore, Sunset Cove Resort is nestled in the corner of Allens Bay. Because we are the only dwelling on the bay, we have a very unique and beautiful view.

Six smaller lakes, including Lake Andrusia and Pike Bay, are also accessible after leaving the shores of Sunset Cove. Cass Lake has many islands to explore. One of the most intriguing is Star Island, which is a several hundred acre island with Lake Windigo nestled inside. Hike the miles of trails, picnic, explore, or take a canoe and fish for bass and panfish on Lake Windigo.

To reach Sunset Cove Resort from Bemidji, take Highway 2 east to Cass County Road 149 (about 12 miles). Go north on 149 about 2 miles and turn left at the Sunset Cove Resort sign.

To reach Sunset Cove Resort from Cass Lake, turn left on Highway 2 off 371. Go 3/4 mile from the Hwy 2 and 371 intersection. Turn right (north) onto Cass County Road 149. Go 2 miles and turn left at the Sunset Cove Resort sign.
